Let's Improve Mental Health

In today’s fast-paced world, depression is one of the serious mental health concerns that touch most people’s life directly or indirectly, affecting 350 million people worldwide. Due to different circumstances and reasons, such as a child being bullied in a school, after completing educational part – a youth roaming about jobless, or even a lonely adult, people fall prey to depression. It causes severe symptoms that affect a person’s ability to work, form of relationships, and destroy their quality of life. At its most, severe depression can even lead to suicide. It remains as a social stigma in terms of prevalence and suffering, dysfunction, morbidity and economic burden. Studies show that 80% of depressed people are not currently having any treatment.[1]
Some recent research shows that depression can have many possible causes like mood disorder characterized by ongoing sadness, anger, loss or frustration that lasts for weeks, months, or years, genetic problems, stressful events, prescription medications and medical problems. Symptoms of depression and the issues in your brain and body may be similar to or completely different from the person next to you. Often being a chronic disorder, it slowly grows within and keeps on gnawing a person’s happiness and willpower, makes a person fall apart mentally and physically and may ruin the life of a person who suffers from it.

Human brain works with the help of nerves that send signals and commands to various body parts. If there’s any malfunctioning of the brain, it will affect the nerves and results in nervous exhaustion which interferes with the quality of the body’s actions. Keep in mind, a strong nervous system helps you cope with numerous negative issues like panic attacks, fear, and stress and strain while a weak nervous system will lead you towards negativity. Your nervous system must be perfect to fight different mental issues. And here comes Ayurvedic medicine that can restore your nerves strength.

"Ayurveda And Depression "

According to Ayurveda, depression can be of three types, and also relieved of differently. Kapha imbalance is usually known as the main cause of depression. It results because of an imbalance in the Vata and Pitta, which interferes with the nervous system. Vatta, Pitta, and Kapha are the three Doshas in the Ayurveda. The Doshas of the body lead to mental illness in a person, and they need to be corrected and treated.

Disorders of Rajas are also responsible for depression. Rajas are a passion or undirected activity. In Ayurvedic views, too many rajas accumulate in the mind in the form of attachment, craving, and desire. If these emotions can’t be satiated, a negative psychological disposition is created. Many experts advise for Ayurvedic medicines for anxiety and panic attacks as a way to heal a person of such issues.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”The Use of Ayurvedic Treatment for Depression and to strengthen the Nervous System”

"Ayurvedic Medicine for Nervous Weakness"

People think that only nootropics need to be cycled. But this is false. Anything that causes a physiological shift, especially a shift in mindset should never be taken continuously. Even plants like guarana, tobacco, coca, kava, all must be cycled appropriately as they contain usually one or more constituents like caffeine that act as a drug. When it comes to prescription drugs, the medical textbooks will sometimes advise to take them every day. Some take many weeks to become effective, so this is okay. But for quicker acting ones, the science doesn’t support that using them continuously is safe. Part of the reason the hospitals do this is to make it easier for people to develop a habit so they don’t forget to take their medication accidentally. So there is a slight discrepancy between medical literature and science, but for the most part, our original statement is true that all psychoactive (affecting the mind) medicines need to be cycled.

"Ayurvedic Medicine for Nervous Weakness"

Unlike a physical illness, the reluctance of a person to realize within as having a psychological illness prevents them from approaching a doctor. But once diagnosed, it can be relieved completely. So understanding the disease in Ayurvedic approach will provide patients with help, hope, and feel worth. A positive attitude by the holistic approach of Ayurveda helps in uplifting the mind.
